Hello everyone! Hopefully you guys can read these posts and see the pictures we are uploading. We cant quite figure this blog thing out or see the posts, but we hear from Linda that the site is working and you guys are leaving comments. Continue to leave them because Pastor David can see them on his computer and is printing them off for us to read. These first few days of camp have been very exciting and eye-opening. We're getting to know the youth, although the communication is still difficult. Many of the kids know a lot of English but are too shy to put it into practice. Pray that they will try to communicate with us as we try to learn some Portugese as well. We split the campers up into three teams and gave them the assignment of decorating a team flag and coming up with a team song and chant. The campers love cheering at games and activities and seem to really enjoy their teams. All of the games that Luke and Michele planned are running smoothly. PJ's lessons are going very well even with the translator and the students are learning. There are a few kids who have never been to this camp before and others who do not know Christ as their Savior, so please pray that we can witness in spite of the language barrier. We are having two students from our team give their testimony at each session and those are a true blessing to me as I get to know everyone better, and I hope they are a blessing to the campers and missionaries as well. The weather has been rainy, very very rainy! It rains on and off but when it stops, the sun comes out so it really isnt a bad thing. Plus, it keeps the bugs away! No one is too miserable from the mosquitos. We'll be trying to keep you updated and post again Friday. We only bring two students to upload the blog each time so on Saturday our team will come to Lan House and we will be able to email parents/family and give personal accounts of the week, as well as maybe getting on Skype or calling home. We appreciate your prayers, and hope you continue to pray for our team, the campers, and the missionaries as we try to show Christ's love in everything we do. We love you all!
